When Has A Trip To A Research Station Ever Gone Well?

Arcturius blinked at the bustling control room. "This really shouldn't have happened. There's..." he checked his wrist, "yeah! Time distortion. Something's doing this." He decided to mention, "Not the blackhole."

Setsuna was silent.

Riku stood by watching to see if he could help.

Almira growled. "Alright, I'm sick of standing here and feeling stupid. What's going on?"

Arcturius frowned, "I... I don't know." He shouted to the ceiling, "AND I DON'T LIKE NOT KNOWING."

Raina sighed. "Simple terms. There is someone we know who shouldn't exist. His existence is fucking everything up."

"So how do we stop it?" Riku asked.

"That guy in the hood?" She asked.

Arcturius shrugged.

Raina shook her head. "From the future. And normally it would be an easy fix. Just kill him. But this is where the problem lies. We believe he might be something impossible. A true immortal."

Riku had to ask, "is he from some alternit universe?"

"Then what do we do?" She than realized that she was asking too many questions.

Arcturius sighed, "Raina, be a bit less nebulous. Is the person the hooded guy, but from the future? Or someone we know in the future?"

"Hooded guy's name is Kasmis. It is not him. He is not from an alternate universe, no. And I have no idea what to do. Anything else?"

Riku pulled out a cigarette and struck a match, "i guess we wait to see what happens." He blew a smoke cirlce.

Almira glared at Riku. "The smoke. It might not bother you, but it's worse for me."

Arcturius had a much better point to make, "Where the hell did you get that? Why did you bum one from me?"

Raina destroyed the smoke. "I hate smoking. Do it again I'll break your arms with a pipe." Raina ripped a pipe off the wall. "Like this one!"

Riku felt like this was an intervention.

Almira looked at Raina. "Lets not seriously injure anyone."

"The irony," Arcturius noted, "You'll break a smoker's bones with a pipe."

Raina kept the pipe. "I'm serious about the threat."

"Ok, ok... so what are we doing here any way?" Riku asked.

Ryuzaki's watch chirped again, more wildly than the last time. "Damn," he cursed, looking intenlty at the device, "High level temporal fluctuat---" He looked up, "Right, then. Where am I?" He sighed heavily, standing in Arcturius's place.

Almira blinked. "Where did Arc go?"
